We have previously asked you to review your online provider directory information to help ensure Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Healthcare Solutions (Anthem) members can locate the most current information for in-network providers and facilities.

In support of this effort, we have identified providers that have not submitted any claims within the last 18 months. The inactive providers are likely not treating Anthem members. To that end, the following actions will be taking place over the next month and will be repeated, at least twice a year, going forward.

Active group agreement with individual providers identified as inactive:
  1. If the group has additional active providers, just the individual providers identified as inactive will be terminated 30 days from this communication.
  2. If the group does not have any additional active providers a termination letter will be mailed in accordance with the terms of the active group agreement.

Active group agreement with no remaining individual providers identified:
  1. If the group does not have any additional active providers a termination letter will be mailed in accordance with the terms of the active group agreement.
